Early departure for the border town of La Union where you’ll take a boat across the Gulf of Fonesca to arrive in Nicaragua. Transfer to the university town of Leon.
Drive on to Granada, visiting the Masaya region en route where you can soak up the atmosphere in the local market and visit a basket-weaving workshop.
Enjoy a boat ride on the nearby Lake Nicaragua where you’ll have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of local bird life and, if you’re lucky, a crocodile!
